AquaCheques are simply routed from the sender’s bank account to the recipient’s email. The recipient may deposit their cheque directly into their bank account through online banking. The funds move like any other cheque from bank to bank. No third party touches the funds.

Do I need an AquaCheque account to SEND an AquaCheque?

Yes! You will need an AquaCheque account in order to send money directly from your banking institution. Sign up in minutes!

Do I need an AquaCheque account to RECEIVE an AquaCheque?

Not at all! You only need a valid email address.

How do I cash an AquaCheque from my e-mail?

You can easily deposit an AquaCheque in your mobile banking app by following your banking app’s instructions for mobile deposit. To take a photo of your AquaCheque for deposit, you can choose between:

Printing the cheque and capturing a photo of the printed cheque with the banking app on your mobile device.
Opening the cheque on a computer and capturing a photo of the on-screen cheque with the banking app on your mobile device.

Are AquaCheques secure?

Absolutely! Sending an AquaCheque is actually safer than sending a cheque in the mail because only the recipient may open and deposit the cheque.

What is an AquaCheque Request?

The AquaCheque Request tool lets you send a cheque request to anyone. All AquaCheque members need is their payee’s name and email address to create a unique one-time link embedded with your name, banking information, and the amount of the request. Once the payee receives the email and clicks your link, your payment is on the way.

How do I choose between opening a personal or business account?

If the bank account you link to your AquaCheque account is a personal account, open a personal AquaCheque account. If the bank account you link to your AquaCheque account is a business account, open an AquaCheque for Business account. Our technology will decipher whether your bank account is personal or businesss.
